Installation in a subfolder: Changing the .htaccess file
From PapayaCMS
When installing the papaya CMS in a subdirectory of your webserver / of your document root, the default .htaccess file has to be changed:
To start, you might use the .htaccess supplied with the release package of the papaya CMS, which is available in 2 flavours:
- htaccess.tpl - a template file, having all relevant paths marked with
%webpath_pages% - .htaccess - the default .htacess file which can be found in the main directory of the papaya CMS distribution (this file works "out of the box" if you are installing the papaya CMS in the webserver's document root)
However, we recommend using the "papaya .htaccess Generator". Here, you'll only have to enter the desired path and the server will create your ready-to-run .htaccess file.
